The Builder

We are excited to announce that our builder is Lexington Homes, Inc. Dave Nerren and Brian Jones started Lexington Homes in Spokane in 1998 and are now building 50 to 60 homes per year from mid-level production homes to fully customized million-dollar homes.

Lexington provides quality workmanship and materials and takes a hands-on approach during each step in the construction process. The public and the building industry recognized Lexington Homes Inc. during the 1999 Home Show when it was awarded First Place in every category—a crowning achievement of excellence that had never been accomplished by any builder.

Priority reservation numbers

The $1,000 Priority Reservation Deposit is the first step toward living in this outstanding neighborhood. This fully refundable deposit allows prospective buyers the opportunity to meet with the builder to discuss a custom-built home.

The homes

In addition to Grapetree’s standard house plans, buyers are offered an array of custom options and a broad variety of floor plan and design changes. One-hundred-percent custom-designed homes are also an option (subject to architectural review). Homes generally take six to eight months to build.

How to finance the home construction

Most buyers intend on using the proceeds from the sale of their current home to help fund their Grapetree home purchase. Since most of our customers either own their homes free and clear or have a large equity, we can provide assistance in locating optimal financing options. A bridge loan or equity line of credit against the current home can be obtained to make payments during the construction process. Another option is an all-in-one construction loan or regular mortgage loan.

Pathway to future services

Residents live independently in their homes at Grapetree as long as possible with Waterford on South Hill services available on an “a-la-carte” basis. If at some point more permanent assistance is necessary, Grapetree residents have priority, should they choose to move to Waterford on South Hill’s main building (a few blocks away). Waterford services include a dining room and café, beauty salon, numerous activities both on and off campus, a computer room, cards and billiards, crafts, live music, scheduled transportation, household help, and various levels of health services. Living accommodations at Waterford on South Hill include cottages and apartments; health services include assisted living, nursing and rehabilitation, memory care, home health, and home care.
